Oven Fried Chicken Drumsticks
Simple and Juicy Oven Fried Chicken Legs
Ingredients
- 2lbs/900g chicken legs, skin on bone in
Spice Mix
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili powder/cayenne powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Coating
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp water
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees CelsiusGrease a baking sheet with 3 tablespoons vegetable oilIn a bowl, combine 8 ingredients under Spice Mix
- Wash chicken legs and pat dry. Place in a bowl. Put spice mix on top of chicken and mix into all pieces
- In a bowl, beat egg and water. Place breadcrumbs on a wide plate and mix in 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Dip each piece of chicken in egg, let excess drip off. Coat in breadcrumbs.
- Place coated chicken on baking sheet, leaving space between each piece of chicken. Place in heated oven and cook for 30 minutes. Drizzle chicken with oil or spray with oil. Turn chicken over and cook for another 30 minutes.
