- 2 cups/ 500 ml Whole Milk organic tastes better!
- 4 cups/ 1 liter heavy cream
- 1.5 cups/ 350g White Sugar
- 2 tbsps Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 or 1 vanilla pod scraped optional
- 4 pinches salt

Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix 2 cups milk with sugar until sugar is completely dissolved. Add 4 cups heavy cream and mix well. Add 2 tbsps vanilla extract and vanilla beans scraped from pod (if using). Mix well and chill for a few hours.
- After chilling, stir the mixture well before processing. Pour chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and process according to your ice cream maker's instructions. With most machines, you will get a soft serve texture. Freeze the ice cream for a few hours to make it harder.
- I made this in a 4 quart or 3.7 liter Ice Cream Maker. Halve this recipe if you are using a smaller ice cream maker.

Hi Ali, the table cream does not have enough fat to make the ice cream. There are recipes for ice cream with sweetened condensed milk but they also use heavy cream.
Can I use almond milk to make ice cream?

Hi, if you use only milk, you’ll probably have to freeze the mixture after using the ice cream maker. It may not get thick compared to when you’re using cream in the recipe. Also, the consistency of the ice cream will be more icy than creamy. Recipes using only milk add egg yolks to thicken the mixture before pouring into the ice cream maker. Hope that helps 😀

Is there a way to substitute stevia for the sugar, Anita?
Hi Robert, I have not tried stevia. However, from my research, 2 tbsps of stevia would be the substitute for the amount of sugar in this recipe. Also, it may be best to heat milk and dissolve stevia first, then proceed with recipe 🙂
I can only find heavy whipping cream in the stores. Is there a way to make it work or do I have to make my own?
