Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup/113g All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup/113g cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup/250ml milk

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 205 degrees Celsius.
  • To a bowl, add all purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder, mix well and add sugar. Mix well.
  • To another bowl, add oil, milk, eggs and beat well.
  • Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients. Mix gently until just combined. Do not over mix.
  • Butter an 8 x 8 baking pan if using recipe to cut into squares and eat as is. Use 9 x 13 if using for stuffing, so cornbread will bake faster. Pour batter into pan and cook in heated oven for 12-20 minutes depending on pan. Cool on a wire rack.
