Creamy Garlic Shrimp with Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 1lb/450g Shrimp shells removed, deveined
  • 2 medium red bell peppers sliced thinly
  • 1 tbsp garlic grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest from 2 lemons
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chili Flakes or to taste
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 12oz/350g pasta angel hair or another type

Instructions
 

  • Boil a pot of water and add a tsp of salt. Put the pasta in, cook stirring occasionally until done.
  • Heat up a pan and add 4 tablespoons of butter. Put the red peppers in, a little salt and saute for 2 or 3 minutes until tender. Make some space in the middle, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir the garlic into the peppers and cook another 30 seconds.
  • Add the paprika, chili flakes and lemon zest. Stir for a minute. Add 1 tsp salt and the heavy cream. Let this come to a boil. Taste and add more salt or chili flakes if you need to.
  • Add the shrimp and cook 4 to 5 minutes depending on the size of your shrimp. Add the pasta and parmesan. Top with parsley and creamy garlic shrimp with pasta is ready.
