Ingredients

  • 2 Cups/280g All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 1 tsp Coarse Salt
  • 4 tsps Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 cups/375ml Whole Milk
  • 4 tbsps unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsps vegetable/canola oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Eggs

Instructions

  • In a bowl, put 2 cups or 280g of all purpose flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tsp coarse salt and, 4 tsps baking powder. Whisk well.
  • Heat up 4 tbsps butter and 1.5 c/ 375ml whole milk until warm and butter is melted. Add 4 tbsps vegetable oil, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 large eggs. Beat well.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix well and set aside. I like to transfer the batter into a cup with a spout as it’s easier and neater to pour into the waffle maker.
  • I wipe a little oil on the waffle maker before turning it on. Heat up your waffle maker. When the unit is heated, pour batter into waffle maker and cook according to waffle maker’s instructions. Mine is a large grill and I used 1 ⅓ cups of batter. The amount of batter you use depends on the size of your waffle maker.
  • Steam will come out of the waffle maker when cooking. A sign that waffles are done is when you don’t see any more steam. They are golden brown. Crispy and tasty.

Notes

I love to serve these waffles with butter, fresh fruit and real maple syrup.
