How to Make Cake in Air Fryer

Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz/113g all purpose flour 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp
  • 7oz/200g/1 cup sugar
  • 1.8oz/50g/1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup boiling water

Instructions
 

  • Grease an 8 inch pan and line with parchment paper. Pour vinegar into milk and set aside
  • Place all purpose flour and salt in large bowl. Sift in baking powder and soda. Mix well. Sift in cocoa powder and mix. Add sugar and mix.
  • To milk, add oil, egg and vanilla. Whisk until smooth. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and pour in wet mixture. Stir until smooth. Pour in boiling water a little at a time, mixing to combine each time. Set air fryer to bake, 325 f/163c and 28 minutes. Pour batter into prepared cake pan. Using oven mitts, put pan into air fryer basket when it is done preheating (usually takes 1 - 2 minutes) and bake for 28 minutes. Check and bake longer if necessary. Cake is done when toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Time will be 28-32 minutes depending on your air fryer.
  • Cool cake on wire rack. Run offset spatula around cake and turn over onto cake board or plate. Turn over onto serving plate and frost if you wish. Frosting Recipe is down below in Chocolate Banana Cake Video.
