- 1 1/4 lb/566g Green beans trimmed
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp coarse salt
- 1/8 tsp red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic
Heat up a wide pan and add butter and olive oil. When butter melts, add garlic powder, chili flakes and salt. Add beans and stir well.
Cover the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium low heat, stirring once or twice. While the beans are cooking, peel and grate the garlic cloves.
Check the beans and if they're cooked to your liking, make space in the center of the pan. Add garlic to the middle and move around a little so it cooks and loses it's rawness. Stir the garlic into the beans until coated nicely. Taste and adjust salt if necessary. Serve hot!
***If you don't want to use butter, use 2 tbsp olive oil. ***If you don't like spicy food, reduce chili flakes to just a pinch
