Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 lb/566g Green beans trimmed
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/8 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions
 

  • Heat up a wide pan and add butter and olive oil. When butter melts, add garlic powder, chili flakes and salt. Add beans and stir well.
  • Cover the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium low heat, stirring once or twice. While the beans are cooking, peel and grate the garlic cloves.
  • Check the beans and if they're cooked to your liking, make space in the center of the pan. Add garlic to the middle and move around a little so it cooks and loses it's rawness.
  • Stir the garlic into the beans until coated nicely. Taste and adjust salt if necessary. Serve hot!
  • ***If you don't want to use butter, use 2 tbsp olive oil.
    ***If you don't like spicy food, reduce chili flakes to just a pinch
