12oz/350gtomato puree
10oz/280glong grain white rice
15ozwater
1cupGreen peasfresh or frozen. If frozen, leave out while rice cooks
1.5 to 2 tspssalt
Instructions
Saute meat and onions together until meat is cooked. Use the saute function of your rice cooker or cook separately.
After meat is cooked, add all dried spices and saute for one minute.
Add cooked meat to the rice cooker. Add tomato puree, rice, water and carrots. Stir and taste. Add more salt if you like. Cook according to rice cooker instructions. I used the white rice function of my rice cooker and the dish was done in 42 minutes.
Open rice cooker and stir in fresh or thawed peas. One pot meal is ready!
