Roasted Turkey Breast Recipe

Juicy and Easy Roasted Turkey Breast Perfect for the Holidays

Ingredients
  

  • 7 lb/3.2 kg bone in turkey breast
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme leaves

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 350F/180C. Mix seasonings together in a small bowl.
  • Wash and pat dry turkey with paper towels. Dry cavity with paper towels. Place in a roasting pan or on a rack set in a sheet tray. Rub melted butter all over turkey and cavity. Spread seasoning mix all over turkey and cavity.
  • Place in heated oven. Pour 1 cup water in tray/pan. Cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes until thermometer inserted into thickest part of turkey is 165F/74C. Remove from oven and cover loosely with foil. Carve after 10-15 minutes. If making gravy, pour off all accumulated juice and drippings from sheet tray to a bowl. Serve with gravy recipe below.
